Found this while going through a site:

Spyder Survival Guide: "The main spring on the Spyder can be substituted for with the F-2 Illustrator main spring. You will need to shave off the 'ribs' on the spring guide though. The Illustrator spring is of better quality than the original Spyder spring. It will last longer and give you more consistent performance." This is just one of the many, many tips you'll find in the Spyder Survival Guide.

They also have a

Spyder Upgrade Survival Guide: Ever wonder if a "venturi bolt" really makes a difference in the Spyder's performance? If so, which one is best? These and many more upgrade questions are answered in the Spyder Upgrade Survival Guide. Other chapters include aftermarket valves, grips, grip frames, barrels, etc. We'll even show you how to do a simple trigger job on your Spyder.

Most of that information can be found on Ottersc's page. If they are charging for the guide then they are crazy, that information is everywhere..and it's free.

A few good searches on this forum will provide you with more than enough information for modding, upgrades etc.

Also, if that's a published guide (like. on paper. with the funny writing symbols) then it will either not include enough expansive information on the various companies, and also it will most likely be outdated within 3 months.
